an example of bad web design — typical cleverness gone wrong
It's a blog for a newspaper.
The title is attrocious, way too long. Much could be provided as
the (presently absent) description, e.g. An article
of the Philadelphia City Paper Staff Blog — 25 Years of Independent
Journalism
, leaving a title of Dude, tap that
shit » The Clog » Philadelphia City Paper
.
A <table> is being used for
layout. What a surprise!
The <table> has a fixed
size too.
Four columns. Actually, no; 10, according to the <table>!
body { font-size: 11px }
The large CLOG motif is actually 7 images that happen to come
together due to <table> layout
– two <table>s! And each one
is a link with the same alt text: The
Clog. The Philadelphia City Paper Staff Blog
. If you don't have
images, you see a huge clump of repeated text.
Lots of images lack alt.
I despair!
