The aim off this station is to serve several adjacent towns and cities in some corner of the map or an island. The station complex features:

• two stations, one for arrivals from the mainline, and one for departures — so passengers just arriving will not be whisked back whence they came;
• deceleration track before each platform,
• RO-RO layout — trains go to Arrivals to unload and transfer first, then onto Departures to take on whatever passengers are available — trams go to Departures first to unload and transfer; then to Arrivals to pick up other passengers.

The need for this kind of station will probably be obviated by Passenger/mail destinations.
